The specific focus of the programme will be to provide you with a systematic understanding of the concepts and characteristics of tourism as an area of academic and applied study, together with an in-depth examination of both the nature and characteristics of international operations. It will also provide you with the ability to evaluate products, services and operational issues within tourism environments, and foster comprehensive independent study and research. The programme is primarily assessed through the submission of a research dissertation on a topic of your chosen field of research. In addition, you will have to complete the unit Advanced Research in Tourism. If you would like to register for the MA, then you should initially submit a research proposal outlining the proposed research topic and proposed research methodologies. Guidelines regarding the required research proposal are available online.
A Bachelor degree obtained with at least Second Class Honours in Anthropology, Business, Events, Geography, History, Leisure, Management, Marketing, Sport Management, Tourism Management, Tourism Studies, or in other related areas deemed suitable by the Board.

Demonstrate technical and professional accomplishment in the rendering and dissemination of a final research dissertation and presentation.
